New Year Greetings!

We often hear the words “Hindsight is 20/20,” but allow me to rephrase these words today; “2020 is Hindsight”.

While I have little doubt that the vast majority of us are happy to see the year 2020 in the “rear-view mirror,” we know that the simple changing of a calendar will not fix everything wrong in our world.

Perhaps there are many things that happened in 2020 that you would like to forget, but hopefully there are many more things you want to remember.

While this past year may have left a few scars along the way in all our lives, I pray that we do not dwell on those things. May we have the strength to look back and learn, but more importantly look forward and be inspired!

As we forge ahead into 2021, experience tells us that we have no idea what the New Year will hold, but remember that God has already been there! There is absolutely nothing that will come up in the days, weeks, and months ahead that will be a surprise to Him!

There's a beautiful old song that has a line like this: “Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand, but I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand.”

I don't know about you, but this gives me a lot of peace and hope for tomorrow. The key is to stay with God and follow Him. We run into difficulty when we try to go ahead of Him, as I have done many times!

I encourage you to look at this upcoming year with anticipation for the wonderful things God wants to do in you and through you! Some people will be looking for hope, and we have that hope, and His Name is Jesus! Be ready to share the Good News of the Gospel!

2020 is Hindsight! Now, on to 2021! May it be a year that we ALL grow closer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as we prepare for His soon return.

Let's make this a year of victory. One day at a time!

Blessings in Christ,

Pastor Wilkie
